NS Spring Flag Hosting

Hello all!

Our own Spring Flag Tournament in Newton is fast approaching and we are asking for volunteers for the below dates/times.

If you could please let me know who would be able to volunteer for the below, it would be greatly appreciated.

It is because of all of you that our club is such a success, and your dedication and willingness to give your time is what makes North Surrey Minor Football one of the best football clubs in the league.

Friday, April 27th
6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
We need volunteers to help line the fields at Newton Athletic Park. The more we have the better.

Gameday, Saturday, April 28th
8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Throughout the day to assist with parking. If we could do groups of two for 2 hours shifts at a time.

8am  – 10 am, 2 people to assist parking
10am – 12pm, 2 people to assist parking
12pm –  2pm, 2 people to assist parking
2pm  – 4pm, 2 people to assist parking
5:30 p.m. To 6:30 p.m. Approximately 3 or 4 people for field tear down and clean up.

If you are interested in being a referee for the VMFL’s Spring Flag season you will need to attend a Referee Clinic.

In order to be a referee this year you need to attend a Referee Clinic, even if you’ve refereed for us before. You must also:

  • Be 14 years old
  • Achieve 80% on the written test
  • Be available to referee on at least four of the six jamboree dates
    • April 21 & 22 @ North Delta
    • April 28 @ Surrey
    • May 5 @ Richmond
    • May 12 @ Chilliwack
    • May 20 @ Coquitlam
    • June 2 @ UBC

To register for a clinic please email the VMFL Secretary at secretary.vmfl@gmail.com  and provide your first and last name and age. Please make the subject of the email “Referee Clinic April 8 or April 14”

springflagU16-20171000The 2018 spring flag registration is now open for players who have been asked to play by a coach. If you haven’t been asked, join the Player Pool List.

For those interested in playing, let a coach know you’re available by putting your name into the player pool. Coaches that are still looking for players can draw from the pool to fill their roster. Click here to go to the player pool page.

If the payment was eligible for the Child Fitness Tax Credit (Canada Only) this receipt will be included in your email.
