Criminal Record CheckAll coaches, managers and trainers are required to obtain a criminal record check as mandated by BCPFA. Stop in at the clubhouse for the required forms or download Criminal Record Check Form here.

Criminal checks are asked to be submitted to the NSMF office by July 16.

Ken Smith’s Birthday

  • Ken will be celebrating his 95th birthday on Sept. 4th, 2015.
  • Ken has been involved in Surrey football since 1970
  • Both his sons Craig and Grant played for NSMF
  • He is a former President of NS he is also a past president of the Surrey Rams
  • He is credited along with another NS president, Don Shannon, for saving the Surrey Rams during tough times in the early 80’s.
  • He started a Bingo along with NS at Cedar Hills hall which led to our association with Bingo country which on the day led to our gaming grants of today which are lifeblood of our club.
  • During his time as president of the Rams he secured the grant necessary for the lights on our practice field.
  • He is a lifetime member of BC Junior Football and a lifetime member of Canadian Junior Football
  • He is also decorated veteran of WW II having served with the Cameron Highlanders of Canada and a survivor of the Dieppe Raid
  • Ken was recognized by NS on his 90th birthday
  • Our meeting room is dedicated to him and his efforts on behalf of amateur football in BC
  • Ken continues to make his presence known at our clubhouse every Sat morning he visits to chat and have a coffee
  • He gets great enjoyment watching the new generation of football players and cheerleaders
